Tourist attractions in Sydney, Australia

We all dream of taking a tour of this famous city of Australia. Well, it is also the largest city of the continent. It’s this geographical vastness that makes it possible for the visitors to explore a plethora of tourist attractions in Sydney, Australia; which are full of fun and thrill. In fact, Sydney in Australia is packed with a myriad of interesting sights and entertaining activities. However, the fact still remains that Sydney is the most expensive town in the continent and is therefore among the top 30 list. But, if you can afford to spend, do not hesitate in doing so because it is worth it!

Tourist attractions in Sydney certainly range from superb zoos to museums and from botanical gardens to boating and scenic sites. They are numerous in the sense that even your week’s time will not prove enough to spend a great Australian vacation here. Before I reveal some of its famous highlights, I will tell you about its admiring Sightseeing Pass that is the best and smart way to explore the city. With this, you can visit all top attractions at reasonable rates and with a guidebook. Starting from $75 per person, you can choose from single day or two to seven days passes as per your wish. I started my Sydney travel with a seven day pass.

One of the most famous tourist attractions in Sydney, Australia is its Harbor Bridge that can be explored either by a car, bike, or on foot. You can also fulfill your adventurous intentions by ascending its inclined ladder’s 100 steps and have some superb vistas. I suggest come here on a clear day so that you can even look for the Blue Mountains that are as far as 80 km.

My next target was the Hyde Park on my Sydney travel, the green hub of many highlights for the tourists and locals alike. Previously a racecourse as well as a farmland, this park today is the venue of the Anzac War Memorial, Archibald Fountain, and museum in the south. Other highlights here include the major historical edifices of ancient Sydney such as the St Mary’s Cathedral, Hyde Park Barracks, and Parliament House. Also check out for the green sanctuary of the Domain as well as the Oxford Street nearby for its great shops.

The next attraction that came to my mind was the commendable Sydney Opera House on the Circular Quay. Make your day at one of the top attractions in Sydney Australia – it is an architectural wonder as well as the best venue of the Opera show. From the Quay, think of taking a ferry to be at the Taronga Zoo. Regarded as one of the elite zoos on the planet, the zoo gives you an opportunity to make friendship with the wild via taking a shot with koala or feeding a wallaby. However, the main pull here is the Roar ‘n’ Snore adventure wherein your family wakes with the fear of roaring lions at night. Finally, you can also soak in the superb vista of the Sydney Harbor from here.

Nestled in Manly is the exciting Oceanworld where you will love to enjoy the superb performances of seals, dolphins, and fishes. Augment your thrill further by diving with the giant sharks, turtles, and stingrays along with more scary as well as unknown creatures of the blue world. If you a fan of marine creatures, you will certainly admire the effort of the professional staff whoa re always eager to share with you the facts and stories of these often misunderstood sea beings.

Be at the highest point at the Sydney Skywalk of the Sydney Tower. Rise up to its level to catch the most breathtaking views of Sydney. As you explore its spine-tingling skywalk, it will be a thrill for you to be at 880 feet on the tallest tower, double the Harbor Bridge in height. Join a 40-minute tour that makes you amble on its walkways and glass floors that project out of the edifice’s edge. This is the real adventure!

Regarded as the no.1 attraction in the city, the Sydney Aquarium offers the largest display of marine animals in the continent. Can you believe it showcases over 11,500 animals? Its each nook is notable because of the charm, color, and pattern. Want to go wilder? Well, then head to the Sydney Wildlife World, the new attraction that is the home of the largest genus of regional animals and plants. It is situated in the center of Darling Harbor.

There is still more to the list, but in my first trip, I could visit only these many places. I hope you to visit these main highlights. So, when are you planning your Sydney travel?
