Virginia Beach Attractions – The Memorable Experience of 3 Million Tourists!

Yes! The statistical number in my title is no ordinary figure. As so many people have to be right in their way, the number itself tells you about the glory of Virginia Beach as a tourist destination. This outstanding region offers an unbelievable waterfront walkway, miles of wonderful sandy beaches, exhilarating amusement parks, interesting science centre, all cuisine restaurants, posh resorts, and shops of every budget. Not only this, this is land of several sports such as East Coast Surfing Championships, the North American Sand Soccer Championship, and the Rock and Roll Half Marathon. If this not enough, check out the ride of a virtual space shuttle or explore an amphitheatre.

What shall you think about the destination by considering these Virginia Beach attractions – a perfect halt to spend vacation or a dream destination? I leave it on you to decide. But, for the time being, I will share with you the Virginia Beach attractions that I explored. Not all was covered, but the major ones were on my hot list!

Virginia Beach

Among all the Virginia Beach attractions, I first started with the La Grand Cirque that really was visually striking and breathtaking. It was the performance of some 50 leading acrobats and performers from 15 countries. Undoubtedly, the show already has been honored with an award too. Heading towards the oceanfront, I then took a refreshing stroll on its boardwalk of 3 miles. Many people accompanied me such as the joggers, bicycle fans, and skaters. Yes, if you wish, you can do even these things on this pathway. Further, you just cannot miss the statue of Neptune on the 31st Street just near the front in whose honor the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival is celebrated on a grand scale revealing the culture.

Next, I visited the site whose name is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. This is called the Amusements of America Carnival, a leading carnival operator in the country. Explore the fun of the carnival with rides here. Then, it was the time to move to real amusements from the 15th street Amusement Park to the water park called the Oceanbreeze Water Park where we enjoyed watching a large gorilla and riding waterslides. It is really a fun place in water! I think people of all ages will love to come here, so do not miss it. For some more fun, do visit the Motor World in Virginia Beach. Here, you can go for kart racing, mini golf, rides, amusements, and paintball.

For a one day trip; I explored Williamsburg where the first permanent English settlement, Colonial Williamsburg settled. For visitor’s attractions, there are many historical sites such as the Governor’s Palace and the Capitol, along with a variety of museums and great theme parks like Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. Do you dare to ride roller coasters and some extreme rides? If yes, then the Busch Gardens is the perfect place for you to be.

If are fond of more daring, its time for some horror and fear in the Nightmare House at the Atlantic Avenue. Fun amidst fear and terror is what you will experience here as in some haunted house. To come out of the fear, visit Mount Trashmore located close to the center of the beach. Oh no! This is not a mountain, but is a beautiful park that was previously a landfill. Now, amidst the beach climate, do grasp the opportunity to listen to the favorite musicians in the 20000 seated Verizon Amphitheatre famous for outdoor concerts.

The Hi Score Gaming Centre is an all console gaming center where you can a unique experience of playing video games in town. For some advanced and high-tech ride, try out the Space Shuttle in the Virginia Air and Space Centre at a distance of half an hour from the beach on the scenic Hampton River. For exploring the beach’s natural heritage, do not miss the Virginia Living Museum where you can get closer with more than 250 species local to the region irrespective of whether living in mountains or in sea.

A must ‘To Visit’ is the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Centre just at a few miles away from the oceanfront. Come here to explore the marine world. It’s really good and memorable. Next, I headed to the Lynnhaven Dive Centre for some scuba diving experience. I learnt how to do so here.
