Discovering the c/o The Maidstone Hotel, East Hampton
Are you fond of eco-friendly things? Then, how it would be for you if you get an opportunity to stay in an eco-friendly luxurious hotel on your trip to Hampton? Well, I guess that would be one of your dreams. As tranquil as swans adorning the urban pond of the East Hampton, the majestic white outer surface of c/o The Maidstone covers a saga that is even today, unperturbed. Modernized with dexterity and affection, this boutique hotel exhibits the Swedish décor and showcases the fanciful Scandinavian art. As per the tourists who have stayed here as well as the locals, the success of this hotel would be as high as some of the great five star hotels of the world.
Facilities
Speaking about its rooms, there are 19 rooms of which 6 are suites and 3 are cottages. The rate ranges from $225 to $975, including the Swedish breakfast. However, this amount does not include the local and state duty charges, I mean the tax charges.
Among the amenities, you can expect a library with DVDs, private grounds, gardens, free WiFi, photograph displays, and iMac facility at the reception. In addition, in rooms, you can expect TV, Coyuchi attires, Sony PlayStation 3, iPod, products from Malin & Goetz, and Hästen beds. The check-out time is noon, but adjustments can be expected. And yes, the check-in time is 3 pm. And yes, you can also book a room for half day too.
The hotel offers a full janitor service that also includes spa experts, babysitters, and dog groomers as well as walkers. You might be also interested in buying some Swedish, eco-friendly items such as purses and hand-painted blocks.
For children, cots are given irrespective of the kind of room booked. You can also avail of babysitting by asking for it well in advance. The hotel offers some special items such as high chairs and a kid’s menu in the restaurant for the tots.
Rooms and activities
According to the tourists, the most lovable suites are His Majesty and Her Royal Highness commonly known as His & Her suites. These suites are named so in honor of the Swedish King Carl XIV as well as Swedish Queen Silvia. They also hold the identical fleur-de-lys wall art and profound claw-foot tubs adorned with gold along with silver for baths. During the winters, the Edvard Munch Room is just fine to spend a shivering time delightfully above the Skaldic verse. The room is adorned with ancient-type gold walls and Swedish slated bathrooms.
Each room has some bonus things to give you. You will get the parking allowance for the much-hidden beach, beach towels, loungers, and umbrellas. By the beach, I mean the beach on the East Hampton whose white sands are just astonishing for sun bath and relaxation. Do not miss the fun of a picnic here by bringing a basket of organic dishes from the hotel.
If you like cycling, there is a mile-long voyage waiting for you, which is covered on a red Kronan bike that can be borrowed. And yes, one must never miss the rejuvenating yoga class held in the meditation lawns.
Restaurant
This is the Living Room restaurant. Meals are excellent in this cozy environment decorated by the shining white and golden candles as well as candelabras perched in the Svenskt Tenn florals. The chef named James believes in the ‘slow food’ idea that leads to a perfect blend of the Scandinavian cuisine and the most fresh and seasonal organic recipes. Do go for his famous dishes.
The most appropriate attire would be fanciful vintage attire. In such a cozy dining room, each table is no less than the best one. However, for the final soak, try staying in your own suite and have the meals there. The dinner is available till 11 pm. However, a late menu is too on the offer. The menu of this restaurant is available even through the room service from 8 am to 11 pm. For pets, the restaurant offers a special menu including Hot Diggity Dog (made from beef).
